Imphal, August 02 2024: The All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC) on Friday organised a reception programme in honour of Yumnam Binashakhi Devi, Senior Nursing Office, Regional' Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) who was conferred the "Florence Nightingale National Award 2024" by Babu Jagjivan Ram Kala Sanskriti & Sahitya Academy, New Delhi.

Additionally, 5 achievers including AMTUC joint secretary Koijam Tomba Singh and Safi Kannachari Sangh Manipur general secretary Ng Baby Devi who were conferred national awards for their contributions & achievements in diverse fields were also felicitated.

According to a release issued by AMTUC, the programme held at the premises of the Council at Naoremthong Laishram Leirak was attended by AMTUC advisor Elangbam Tomba Singh and other members of the council.

Moreover, Dalit Sahitya Academy, Manipur on Wednesday organised a reception programme for achievers who were conferred national & international awards this year.

The programme was organised as part of the 133rd birth anniversary observation of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

It was graced by former MP (Lok Sabha), Dr Thokchom Meinya; Bharat Dalit Sahitya Akademi, national secretary, Yumnam Mahendrakumar Singh and IRE Group Of Institutions, Wangjing, principal director, Narengbam Rajivkumar as presidium members.

Performance of Pena Yakairol, Nat Sankirtan, classical dance and poem recitation session were the other highlights of the event.
