State's active cases drop to 6

Imphal, May 02 2022:
After three days of reporting no new positive cases of Covid-19, the state on Monday reported one positive case out of 94 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 1.06 per cent positivity rate.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, three patients were discharged from home isolation.
Six already discharged cases were reported only on Monday and the total number of recoveries in the last 24 hours has been calculated as nine.
Number of active cases came down to 6 out of which 3 (50 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,433 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported one new positive case and no fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 6 and 0 respectively.
As per official reports, the lone fresh case (male) is a resident of Imphal West district.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,221 (general population - 1,32,207 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,095 (general population - 1,30,088 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 6 (general population)) .
The recovery rate rose to 98.45 per cent.
A total of 35 D-type and 23 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 279 vaccine doses administered on Sunday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,57,100, including 12,05,189 beneficiaries who had received the second dose and 83,447 recipients of precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,747), Imphal East (30,444), Thoubal (10,160), Churachandpur (11,054), Kangpokpi (3134), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9842), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3277), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,222 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,668 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,799 tests per million population against the national average of 5,96,678 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.52 per cent.
