Megshala Project launched

Directorate of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) organised today an inauguration ceremony of "Megshala Project Implementation in the State" at its office at Lamphelpat.
C Arthur Worchuiyo, Director, Trade Commerce and Industries, Jyoti Thyagarajan, Founder, Megshala Trust, Bangalore, Dr M Meenakumari Devi, Director, SCERT, Th Kirankumar, Director, Education (S) and Reema Haobam, SDC Thoubal attended the ceremony as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
C Arthur Worchuiyo inaugurated "Megshala Project", which is aimed at providing E-learning contents to teachers and students of the elementary stage.
Speaking at the event, Dr M Meenakumari Devi stated that over 100 schools in each district namely Imphal-West, Thoubal, Senapati, Ukhrul and Churachandpur have been selected for training in the first phase.
All expenses regarding the training will be borne by the Trust, the Director said and added that Meghshala Teach kits are aligned to the State Board syllabus with an absolute user design perspective.
Teachers all over the world can access Meghshala content for free by installing a mobile application under the same name from Google's Play Store, Dr Meenakumari added.
