Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles conducts medical camps

Assam Rifles troops of Shangshak Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted three day long medical camps at HayangShingcha, Mapum and Pushing villages in Kamjong from February 26-28 .
Free treatment and medication was provided to more than 400 villagers followed by an interactive counseling session by the Medical Officer to educate the villagers about various seasonal diseases in the monsoon season and means to counter them.
The medical camps were established by the Assam Rifles as part of it's continuous endeavour towards ensuring good healthcare and creating a positive synergy between Assam Rifles and the locals in the remove villages of Manipur.
Meanwhile, Troops of Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a Medical Camp at Nambol, Bishnupur district, on yesterday.
Free treatment and medication was provided to more than 33 adults followed by an interactive counseling session by the Medical Officer to educate the villagers about various waterborne diseases, measures to prevent them and the importance of hygiene for a better life.
Such medical camps are regularly conducted by the Assam Rifles as part of it's continuous endeavour towards ensuring good healthcare facilities in all parts of Manipur and also to create a synergy between Assam Rifles and the locals in the villages of Manipur.
