Imphal, December 01 2019: As part of science communication scheme of Kanglei Khongyan Thijinyon (KKT) Imphal, a first National conference on science and technology "Khumang 2019" was held on Saturday at the premises of Department of Chemistry, Dhanamanjuri College of Science (DMCSc), DM University, Imphal.

A press release issued by KKT said that the conference was attended by participants from various fields of science and technology, fisheries, agriculture & allied streams, telecommunication etc.

The function was inaugurated with a welcome speech by Dr N Yaiphaba, Asst Prof, Department of Chemistry, DMCSc was graced by Prof N Rajmuhon, Department of Chemistry, Manipur University, Dr E.Jadu Singh, Principal, DMCSc and Dr N Ibotomba Singh, president, DM College of Science Teachers' Association (DMCOSTA) as the dignitaries.

At the event, Dr L Jaideva Singh, Director, KKT gave a brief account about KKT and its aims and objectives.

He also spoke about various activities taken up by KKT and its future plans.

Later, a technical programme in two different sessions were also conducted as part of the conference.
