Imphal, November 01 2024: The 7th Patsoi Local Conference of Communist Party of India (M), was held on Friday at Changangei Uchekon.

It was attended by Taorem Manihar and Saikhom Jugol as presidium members, said a release issued by CPI.

Additionally, the 104th birth anniversary of Lamabam Ibotombi was observed.

Lamabam Ibotombi, popularly known as Mamotombi was a comrade who took the leading role under Hijam Irabot in the formation of the Communist Party in the State and even held the post of secretary when the party was existing as an underground group.

He also held the post of secretary for CPI (Marxist), Manipur Branch till 1978 .

The welcome address of the conference was delivered by CPI(M) Manipur state secretary Ksh Shanta.

Manipur Loumee Marup secretary Sarat Salam, All Manipur Democratic Women Association secretary Ayekpam Ashabala Devi and Dr RK Sanajaoba Singh were also present at the event.

The conference unanimously elected new members of CPI(M) Patsoi Local Committee including Ningthoujam Nabakumar as secretary.
