Training programme on "Nematode pests of citrus" held

Ukhrul, February 01 2023: ICAR-AICRP on Nematode Agriculture COA, CAU, Imphal, ICAR New Delhi and Kachai Fruit Farming & Processing Co-operation Society Ltd jointly organised a 1-day training cum interaction programme on "Nematode pests of citrus and it's management" at Kachai village, Ukhrul under LM Block.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ksh Sumita, principal investigator elaborated on why she chose Kachai village and added that GI tag Kachai Lemon brought her to the village.

She also stressed on the need to make the farmers aware of Nematode infestation, casual symptoms & management of citrus nematode.

Wet preservation of Papaya and Guava infested by RKN were also demonstrated during the programme.

Over 40 farmers took part in the training programme.
