Court issues non bailable warrant of arrest against uncle killer

Imphal, July 31 2018: Session Court Imphal West has issued a non-bailable warrant of arrest against Khullem Jiten, who shot dead one of his uncles and injured another in 2015 and recently returned to shoot dead another of his uncles at Meitei Langol Punshiba Leikai on July 27 this year.

The order was passed today as both the accused and his defense counsel failed to be present during the trial of the case today and without giving any proper reason even though the first prosecution witness number was present.

The Court also fixed August 8 for execution of the warrant of arrest.

It may be mentioned that a session trial has been ongoing before the Session Court Imphal West from January 2016 onwards against the accused who killed one of his uncles and injured another in 2015 .

It may also be mentioned that Jiten is presently lodged in the custody of Lamphel PS (till August 6) in connection with another case regarding the murder of his uncle, Khullem Tomba, on July 27 at Meitei Langol Punshiba Leikai.
