Saina Institute of Medical Sciences, Chinikon celebrates its foundation day

Foundation day of Saina Institute of Medical Sciences, Chinikon, Senapati district was celebrated with the lighting of lamp at the Hall of the institute.
The celebratory function was attended by Director, State Mission NHM, Dr S Manikanta as chief guest; chairman, Saina Group of Institute who is also convenor of MANPAC and JCILPS, Yumnamcha Dilip Kumar as president while advisor, Saina Group of Institute who is also editor of Naharolgi Thoudang, Khoirom Loyalakpa; Registrar, Manipur Nursing Council, Kh Ratna Devi; ambassador, Saina Group of Institute, Biju Ningombam; ex-president AMSU, Manjit Sarangthem and casualty in-charge, Thoubal District Hospital, Dr Thokchom Devaraj attended the programme as guests of honour.
As part of the function, floral tributes and respect were paid to photo of Florence Nightingale by the presidium members and the participants while a pledge taking ceremony was also held to render health services to the patients with all sincerity.
In the function, capping ceremony for the first batch GNM students of the institute was also conducted.
Speaking at the occasion, Manging Director, Saina Group of Institute, Dr S Kumar said that the nursing institute was opened to provide a platform for those poor but brilliant students who cannot afford higher fees to pursue medical profession.
Ambassador, Saina Institute of Medical Sciences, Biju Ningombam encouraged the nursing students to study hard and excel in their profession and help poor people in getting required health services.
