CM inaugurates Astro turf football ground at Senapati

Senapati, December 29 2021: Chief Minister N Biren Singh inaugurated an Astro Turf Football Ground (Amusement Park) constructed under the Tourism Department at Jamming valley, Senapati district, Manipur today.

The CM was accompanied by PHED Minister Losii Dikho, MLA L Susindro Meitei and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM stated that Senapati should produce international level footballers with the opening of Astro Turf Football Ground.

While interacting with the gathering inside the ground, he further said that similar football grounds were also being constructed in other hill tiistricts.

He added that football is not only for health but could also be a good source of earning for professional players.

Later, the CM inaugurated Goura Singh Sports Complex at Oklong village and graced the Oklong Annual Sports Meet as the chief guest.

It may be noted that the sports complex was constructed in memory of the Chief Minister's father.
