Imphal, December 29 2020: Rhythms of Manipur presented today their latest music composition which is its 21st music production titled 'Mukna Kangjei' directed by Haobam Nisheshwor at the Golden Jubilee Stage of the Manipuri Jagoi Marup.

The title of the composition was presented in the form of 'Pena Phamsak' by three pena players of the Rhythms of Manipur followed by Langden drum presentation by six lady drummers supported by three male drummers, two violin players, one pena player and another one on local Xylophone and effects, said a statement issued by Rhythms of Manipur.

The programme was attended by Tourangbam Indrajit Meitei, Corporator Ward No 6, Imphal Municipal Corporation as chief guest who lauded the Rhythms of Manipur for its contribution towards enrichment of Manipuri music and assured all possible help from his side, added the statement.

The statement further said that Rhythms of Manipur has produced at least 20 music compositions and three plays since 1995 and its music composition 'The Journey and Dancing Drummers' won Doordarshan National Awards.
