National seminar kick starts

A three-day National seminar on new challenges of Physical Education and Sports Science in the 21st Century has kick started at the centenary hall of Manipur University from today.
MU Vice Chancellor Prof N Nandakumar Sarma, MU's School of Human and Environmental Sciences Dean Prof N Deva, National Association of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (NAPESS) president Prof P Chinnappa Reddy, MU's Department of Physical Education and Sports Head Dr T Inaobi and NAPESS Secretary Prof Sudar Raj Urs graced the opening function as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
In his speech, Prof H Nandakumar Sarma stressed on the need to study the findings developed by experts and researchers of physical education and sports.
He expressed hope that change of lifestyles by adopting these findings would ultimately lead to a healthy and developed society.
The VC also expressed hope that the seminar would be fruitful as many experts, professionals and scholars in the field would share their findings and knowledge at the seminar.
The seminar is jointly organised by Association of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Hyderabad and MU's Physical Education and Sports Sciences Department.
