Chandel, December 28 2016: Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan was organized today at Monsang Pantha village, Chandel, in commemoration of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and late Chaudhary Charan Singh.

The observance remembered their contributions towards the promotion and use of science for the welfare of farmers.

A drawing competition for school going children, technical and interaction session with experts from KVK Chandel as resource persons for farmers, were also held as part of the observance.

Value added products like Passion fruit juice, pineapple squash etc, were demonstrated and distributed to the farmers attending the function.

Inputs like tree bean, papaya and marigold saplings; vanaraja chicks; feeder and waterer; vitamins; mineral and Anthelmintic drugs were distributed to farmers.

A total of 50 farmers and 20 school going children attended the event, a statement issued by Y Prabhabati Devi, Assistant Chief Technical Officer, Home Science, KVK, Chandel, informed.
