Political instability will only increase crimes: Dr Nara

The 35th annual conference of Communist Party of India (CPI), Sagolband Local Council was held at Wahengbam Leikai, here, today.
During the event, the attendees paid floral tribute to the deceased comrades of the party.
Speaking at the event, CPI, National executive member, Dr M Nara asserted that the inability of the State Government to find solution of the many problems that are besieging the State today is quite unfortunate.

The attitude shown by the leaders and representatives of the incumbent Government as if there is no law and order in the country will only give birth to many more crimes if not check at the earliest, Dr Nara said.
The inability of the farmers to grow crops due to unavailability of irrigation water is also co-related with bad governance, he said and added that the conference of CPI was organised with an aim to discuss and find solution of the issues that are besieging the State.
Stating that many unpleasant incidents have occurred since the BJP led coalition Government came to power, Dr Nara lamented that the State as well as the country will not develop as long as those in power are corrupted and work only for the betterment of the rich and wealthy.
Dr Nara also opined that the current electoral system is not clean and it will be near to impossible to check corruption without reforming the electoral system first.
It is crystal clear that the public have lost their faith in the Government as they want CBI to probe every critical cases of the State, Dr Nara said and questioned who will deliver justice to the victims of several unpleasant incidents if the Government who are supposed to protect and govern them is not willing to extend their helping hands to those in need.
The event was also attended by CPI, State secretary, L Sotinkumar; Nupi Marup, former president, Thangjam Sakhitombi; All Manipur Anganwadi Workers' Union, president, Sanatombi and Sagolband local CPI leader, Th Manglem among others.
