Imphal, December 27 2024: A 1-Day Sensitization Programme on "The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 20.13" was held at the Conference Hall of the Chief Electoral Officer's Office in Lamphelpat today.

The programme was conducted with the objective of sensitizing the women employees of Election Department on the provisions of the Act, said a release issued by Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur.

The duties and responsibilities of the Internal Complaints Committee were also highlighted in the programme.

A technical session was also conducted to sensitize the participants on the procedure of filing complaints in case any incidence of sexual harassment occurs at the workplace.

Joint Chief Electoral Officers, Ramananda Nongmeikapam and Md S Daulat Khan shared their insights on the provisions of the Act.

The sensitization programme which was conducted in hybrid mode was attended by women employees of the Election Department posted in various districts.
