Kuki civil bodies under the aegis of Kuki Inpi Manipur in a 'vital' joint meeting held at Kuki Inn, Imphal resolved on several issues concerning the Kukis including Anglo-Kuki War Centenary Commemoration 2019, de-recognition of recognized villages, recognition of new villages under Revenue Department and RN Ravi statement.
The 'crucial meeting' was attended by Kuki chiefs and leaders of all Kuki civil society organizations, student bodies and women organizations where they unanimously decided to take 'extreme steps if required in case the Government fails to address their appeals' .

At the outset, the Kuki bodies resolved to organize the Anglo-Kuki War Centenary Celebration, 2019 in the grandest way at C Aisan village in Kangpokpi district and also agreed to erect a monolith each in all Kuki villages in the State so as to commemorate the event before October 17 .
Wording to be imprinted on the monolith shall be obtained from the centenary committee by all Kuki chiefs, decided the meeting.
Secondly, expressing discontentment of the Kukis over the Government of Manipur for de-recognizing many recognized villages and cancellation of its Village Gazette, the organisations unanimously resolved that the Government must review its decision on the issue.
Kuki Inpi Manipur and Kuki Chiefs' Association Manipur were entrusted the responsibility to deal with the issue.
"If any sort of agitation is required, all Kuki chiefs and the public shall strappingly partake in the movement in case the Government fails to review its decision on de-recognition of recognized villages," a resolution of the meeting read.
Thirdly, they strongly opposed recognition of newly established villages under Revenue Department and resolved that the newly established villages shall be recognized under 'Autonomous District Council Acts 1971 (Amendment) and the concerned law before 2009' .
KIM and KCA are to deal with the issue, the meeting resolved.
The Kuki bodies expressed disappointment over Naga peace talk Interlocutor RN Ravi's statement- 'Framework Agreement will be finalized within three months.' The organisations unanimously resolved that they will uphold the earlier Kuki's rigid decision not to accept and regard any solution between the Government of India and NSCN-IM before settling the issue of NSCN-IM's "criminal acts" upon the Kukis.
