AMCOVID-19VC cautions to close keithels in Moirang from September 29

Bishnupur, September 26 2020: The All Moirang COVID-19 Voluntary Committee (AMCOVID-19VC) has cautioned to close all important keithel in Moirang from September 29.Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Moirang Kumam Leikai, committee's convenor, Konjengbam Goutam said that the committee restricted Moirang Lamkhai and Moirang Bazar markets from opening as some people disregarded SOPs for COVID-19 and started operating passenger service (E-Rickshaw and Auto Rickshaw).

However, markets in Moirang were opened from September 16 after Moirang Municipal Council intervened and took responsibility, he said adding that people started rushing to markets in large numbers, since then, increasing the risk of COVID transmission.

The Konjengbam Goutam then stated that markets in Moirang will be closed if the authority concerned fails to chalk out measures and means to address the issue by September 28 .
