Thoubal, August 26 2021: The Managing Director of Saina Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr S Kumar has been conferred three prestigious awards in recognition of the yeomen service the institute has been providing since the first wave of Covid pandemic in the State.

Dr S Kumar was crowned the International Young Star Award-2021; Global Achievement Award Sri Lanka-2021 and Babu Jagjeevan Ram National Samman Padak Award 2020-2021 at Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan, New Delhi in the presence of Dr NS Khoba, president BJRKSSA.

It may be noted that SIMS Helping Group Manipur, has been helping the people and the State Government in tackling the pandemic in various ways-free ambulance service, free treatment to people, free Covid test, assistance in mass vaccination programme, free medical camps and distribution of medicines and others.

Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) extended heartiest congratulations to Dr S Kumar on being honoured with the prestigious National and International awards and wished that SIMS may carried forward the humanitarian services.

MMWO in association with SIMS has also been organising free medical camps in parts of the State and it is a matter of pride for all to witness the Managing Director of SIMS receiving the award for the priceless contribution he and his institute have been providing, a statement of MMWO said.
