20 tested, 16 found positive

Thoubal, June 25 2021:
Out of 20 persons, who had been defying orders to get tested during the contact tracing exercise, 16 of them were found to be positive for Covid-19 when they were examined in the presence of security personnel and executive magistrate at the office of District Surveillance Officer, Thoubal on Friday.
Following an order issued by the district magistrate, Thoubal for conducting contact tracing and necessary testing, a mobile testing team assisted by security personnel rounded up 20 individuals from Khangabok Part 1 Awang Leikai for conducting Covid testing and 16 of them were found positive for Covid-19 .
These 20 people were said to be suspicious of have contracting the infectious disease but ignored earlier advice to get their health status confirmed.
All the positive people have been kept at the Community Home Isolation Centre set up for Khangabok A/C.Meanwhile, after people lodged complaints against the permanent Covid-19 testing centre set up at Khangabok Higher Secondary School, assistant commissioner Dr Polem Lenin inspected the testing centre.
Dr Lenin directed doctors and staffers who were on duty to use PPE and sanitizers properly and to conduct Covid-19 testing timely.
He also urged the people to get free Covid-19 test at the permanent centre.
