Imphal, September 24 2023:
The Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) has extended its appreciation to the schools and teachers providing free education to the students affected by the present conflict in the State.
In a release, AIMS expressed hope that the schools and teachers will continue their noble work and produce talented & qualified students in the years to come.
AIMS appealed to all the private schools to not put extra pressure and give some consideration to the students who are facing a lot of difficulties due to the prevailing situation of Manipur.
Taking strong exceptions to some private schools turning education into business, the student body alleged that authorities of some schools are involved in buying students as commodities to produce more toppers in examinations.
AIMS also claimed that schools have been turned into business centres where uniforms, school bags and other items are sold to students forcefully to gain more profit.
AIMS further advised the students to contact AIMS if they are facing extra pressure from the school authorities during these difficult times.
