AMSU urges State Govt to check the way private boardings are being run in State

Following reports of suspected food poisoning to 130 students staying at boarding of EUREKA High School, Thaonaojam, Kakching district on April 22, who were admitted to hospital after being reported of suffering from bout of vomitting and diarrhoea after eating chicken curry at the boarding, AMSU has visited the hospital where the students are admitted and enquired about their condition today and urged the State Govt to check the manner in which the private boarding hostels are being run in the State, said joint secretary Moirangthem Prabin while adding that AMSU takes the matter very seriously and will not remain silent till a concrete step is being taken up.
Speaking to the media persons regarding the incident, Moirangthem Prabin further said that it is time for the authority concerned to inspect the way the private boardings are being in Manipur.
He continued that AMSU will start strict vigil at all private boarding for the safety and health of the students.
