World TB Day observed at Phayeng

Imphal, March 24 2017: Emanual Hospital Association in collaboration with Council for Advancement of Rural Development (CARD) today observed the 36th World TB Day at Kharang Cultural Hall, Phayeng, Imphal West today.

The programme was attended by Dr Rameshor Singh, MO In-Charge, PHC, Phayeng, W Ibohal Singh, president, CARD and Jibanlata Devi, Up-Pradhan, Phayeng Gram Panchayat attended the function as presidium members.

Dr Rameshor Singh extended gratitude to the gathering for attending the programme.

He also highlighted the definition of TB, causes and routes of transmission TB.

W Ibohal Singh said that awareness programmes are required in order to educate the people on TB and CSOs can take an important role making such campaign a success.

As a part of the observance, prizes were given to 2 best DOT Providers and 2 community volunteers under Axshya Project.
