Chandel, May 23 2019: The Village Authority of Lamkang Khunkha, Chandel on Thursday alleged that the Komlathabi to Lamkang Khunjai construction work under PMGSY was cut short without reaching the village.

The road was constructed under PMGSY in 2010 with the sole purpose of connecting six villages - Komlathabi, Chumbang, Heikrutampak, Leipungtampak, Lamkang Khunkha and Lamkang Khunjai.

However, the road construction work ended without reaching the Lamkang Khunkha village.

All the other villages are now connected by the road except the Lamkang Khunkha village, said a statement of the village authority today stating that it has no other alternative routes.

Urging the authorities concerned to reconstruct the road till Lamkang Khunkha village, the village authority cautioned that it will not allow the blacktopping work which started recently to progress unless the village is connected.
