Continue admission process but keep reserve seats: Govt

Imphal, June 22 2020: The State Government has ordered that the admission process of students seeking admission in Class XI should not be frozen/ closed.

The order came after considering the declaration of Class X result and in the interest of the students who are seeking admission in Class XI .

To ensure fair and equal opportunity to all concerned students, the order also directed all schools to reserve a minimum 15 pc of the total seat for the further intake of students who are awaiting results owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and in consideration of the likely growth in the number of students due to mass exodus of students from various parts of the country.

Meanwhile, all kinds of online examination/assessment for pre-nursery to Class-V students have been prohibited during the lockdown period with immediate effect.

Non-compliance of this order will be viewed very seriously by the State Government, said an order issued by the Department of Education (Schools) .
