DC Jacintha launches garbage collector rickshaws

Imphal, June 22 2016: In pursuance of the ongoing sanitization drive, Deputy Commissioner Jacintha Lazarus today launched garbage collector rickshaws during a brief function held at SDSA office today, re-ports our correspondent.

The DC who is also cleanliness crusader called upon the youth to contribute in main- taining the district HQs neat and tidy.

She expressed hope that SDSA will uti- lise the garbage collector rickshaws efficiently.

She also requested the general public to come up with more innovative ideas and feedback in order to keep the district clean.

'All the changes cannot be made in a day.

Therefore, the initiative should be taken up as a joint venture by the district administration, SDSA and public particularly youngsters," she said.

The launching programme was also attended by the executives of SDSA, PNTM, MKS and youth.
