Missing girl child: Club seeks assistance

Imphal, November 21 2019: Popular Youth Club has sought assistance from all the people and the authorities concerned in finding the body of Moirangthem Tracy, who fell into Iril river and has been missing for the last five days.

Speaking to media persons, president of Popular Youth Club Kairang Maning Leikai Mutum Phairenjaoba appealed to all to contact the authorities if they find Tracy's body.

He maintained that Tracy (5) is the daughter of Moirangthem Doren and M Anandi of Khwai Chaithabi Leirak.

The incident occurred on the day Tracy and her mother visited her mother's maternal home in Kairang Maning Leikai on November 17.He narrated that Tracy and friends (a girl and a boy) were playing at the banks of Iril river and after a while, Tracy was not among her friends when they came out of the river.

The club's president further stated that Tracy reportedly fell into the river while playing and the family came to know about the news when the girl child (Tracy's friend) informed them when inquired.

He maintained that the authorities have been searching Tracy's body since then while NDRF along with fire service, local clubs, Meira Paibis and State police have been taking up all possible measures to find the body till date.

He further appealed all to contact the nearest police station or the authorities if they find Tracy's body.
