Distribution of relief items continues

Bishnupur/Kakching, August 21 2021: In continuation of the assistance provided to the people, Kakching Assembly Constituency MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar in association with Ching Tam Women Development Association distributed essential food items to the widows of Sora, Irengband and Pallel today.

Mayanglambam Nungshi, wife of M Rameshwar and Ching Tam Women Development Association president, N Kunjeshori personally handed over the relief items to the widows.

Speaking on the occasion, N Kunjeshori stated that the relief items were distributed to the widows of Sora Maning, Mamang, Irengband and Pallel to support them during this crucial time and assured to provide similar assistance in the future.

Similarly, social worker Md Sakir Ahamed distributed essential food items to 200 households of Kakching Wairi Senapati Leikai under Wabagai AC yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sakir Ahamed stated that the food items were distributed to support the families suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown imposed by the State Government.

He mentioned that relief items have been distributed to more than 12,000 households of Wabagai AC so far and assured to provide similar assistance in the remaining villages of the constituency including Wabagai Kadajit.

Sena Athletes' Organization (SAO) president, P Godhador expressed his appreciation to Md Sakir Ahamed for his assistance to the people during these testing times.

Similarly, Rohan Philem and Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup (KEMKAL) jointly distributed relief items to selected 100 households of Moirang Municipal Council.

The distribution campaign was sponsored by 'Goonj..a Voice, an effort www.goonj.org' and carried out from August 19 to 20 with the theme 'Rahat- Covid'.

During the campaign, 100 needy households were selected from 20 villages under Moirang Municipal Council.

Relief items were provided to the selected households by Rohan Philem; Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup president, M Shantikumar; general secretary, H Somikanta and other prominent leaders of the organisation.

Speaking on the occasion, Rohan Philem stated that the relief items sponsored by 'Goonj..a Voice, an effort www.goonj.org' were provided for the first phase with the assistance of KEMKAL.

H Somikanta also extended his appreciation to 'Goonj..a Voice, an effort www.goonj.org' for understanding the plight of the people who are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic and providing the relief items.
