Imphal, July 21 2024: Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata has donated books to the Media Resource Centre at Manipur Press Club established under the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU).

Th Satyabrata handed over the books to Bijoy Kakchingtabam, president, AMWJU this morning at his residence at Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai, said a press release issued by Priyo Achom, secretary.

The Media Resource Centre was inaugurated by Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Manipur Press Club at Majorkhul on January 6, 2024 .

Notably, the Speaker made the donation after AMWJU made a request to Th Satyabrata for access to important documents in the Assembly Secretariat.

Meanwhile, Bijoy Kakchingtabam shared that the Media Research Centre was set up for the convenience of journalists from outside the State and research scholars.

He also extended his gratitude to the State Assembly Speaker for the donation.
