BJP in talks for Pre-poll Alliance with MPP: Gadkari

The BJP, with the aim of defeating the Congress party in the coming State Assembly Election, is in the process of forging pre-poll alliance with the opposition Party MPP and it is hopeful that positive results will be in the offing, stated Nitin Gadkari, BJP President.
Addressing media persons at Hotel Classic today, Nitin Gadkari further stated that the final decision regarding the pre-poll alliance with the MPP will be declared by the BJP, State President.
He will also be announcing the number of candidates which to be fielded in the coming Assembly Election.
He said that the party is committed to bringing about equal development in the North Eastern States of India and assured that all the fundamental rights of the people of this region will be protected.
The party also supports the agitation carried out by the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO.
On the issue of AFSPA in the state and elsewhere, the National President said that AFSPA is a very delicate issue.
The Party has decided to convene a core committee meeting in this regard and bring about a solution to the problem.
The party also understands the feelings and sentiments of the people and their problems with regard to AFSPA.
Nitin Gadkari who is on a three-day visit to Manipur further contended that though the NE states including Manipur have enough potentials for the production of power, yet the potentials have not been exploited and the states continue to face acute power shortage.
The whole problem lies with the failure of the congress led UPA government at the Centre.
The BJP takes seriously the problems faced by the people of the state due to bad transport and communication facilities.
He also pointed out that since the state is well known throughout the world through games and sports, there is the need to establish a Sports University in the state.
The people of the state should also be given enough opportunities not only by providing basic education, but also various professional courses including engineering and IT courses.
The BJP President further stated that Manipur has become a breeding place for corruption.
The corruption prevailing in the state can also be seen in Delhi as in the 2G Spectrum and the Common Wealth Games cases.
The BJP will bring about a total change in this regard.
It will also try and give employment opportunities to all the unemployed youths of the state.
If at all a nation or a state is to be developed, priority should be given to agricultural and industrial sector, only then the state will be develop.
The BJP coming to power in the Centre in the next polls is certain.
It will do its level best to put the dreams of the North East States in general and Manipur in particular, into reality and develop the region in all aspects asserted Gadkari.
