Lilong firing : ALADA urges Govt to book culprits

Thoubal, January 20 2020: All Lilong Anti Drug Association (ALADA) has urged the State Government and authority concerned to take up stern action against the alleged drugs dealers and their supporters who were responsible for the death of one Md Sajid (29) .

A press release issued by ALADA said that Md Sajid Khan was hit by a bullet from a double-barrel gun and succumbed to injury when a team of Thoubal Police and ALADA's volunteers were chasing an alleged drug dealer identified as Md Thembung (30), S/o Md Rokshan Ali at Lilong Mairenkhun on January 16 .

The father and brother of Md Thembung and one Abdul Majid started firing bullets randomly to threaten the ALADA volunteers and the bullet that hit Md Sajid was fired by the latter, it claimed and appealed all concerned to book and punt ish the alleged drug dealers and his supporters at the earliest.

Announcing Md Sajid (29) as the hero of war on drugs, it further appealed the State Government and Police Department to provide all possible help to the family members of Md Sajid.
