Handover dead body to family, appeals wife of deceased

Nameirakpam (O) Ibemhal has appealed to the concerned authority to handover the mortal remains of her husband Nameirakpam Sobhachandra (57) and enable the family to perform his last rites.
Notably, N Sobhachandra, who hails from Kha Potshangbam Maning Leikai Ward No 9, Bishnupur, was killed in an unfortunate road accident which occurred on December 15 at Naranseina under Moirang police station at 7:10 pm.
Speaking to media persons at a press briefing held at their residence today, Ibemhal shared that the family was unable to perform the Mangani Leihun ritual of her late husband today as the police have not yet released his dead body to the family.
She further added that on the fateful day, Sobhachandra was heading home from Moirang on a Honda Dio when it collided with a Tata Yodha pickup at Naranseina and he tragically lost his life.
In view of the family's distress, including that of their three children, Ibemhal has urged the concerned authority to release N Sobhachandra's mortal remains and enable the grieving family to perform his last rites.
