Love and unity are essential components for overall development: Nemcha Kipgen

Kangpokpi, December 19 2018: Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister, Nemcha Kipgen has stated that only through love, peace and unity, our state will witness overall development.

This was expressed by the Minister while addressing as a Chief Guest at the Golden Jubilee Celebration and Church building inauguration of Sipijang Baptist Church at Kangpokpi.

Stating that love and charity begins from home and spread it to other families, Minister Nemcha said it is indeed time for all to forgive and forget any misunderstandings.

When one is at peace with oneself, one will be at peace to others, she added and said that the Golden Jubilee celebration as well as the inauguration of the new church building would serve its purpose only when we treat each other with love and compassion, she added.

As our State is inhabited by people from different communities and ethnic groups, Minister Nemcha appealed all the people not to communalize any issues or resort to any forms of protest or agitation and can solve in a peaceful manner and love through dialogues and discussions.

Regarding the under-construction tower that lies within the church premises, Minister Nemcha assured that she will extend assistance from her side to make sure it gets completed before new year.

As part of the occasion, Golden Jubilee monolith was also unveiled by Minister Nemcha Kipgen.

MDC EM, Lunthang Haokip and retd IRS Saitu Inpipu, Tongmang Haokip also graced the occasion as President and Guest of Honour respectively.
