Outreach programme on scientific technology held

Imphal, December 18 2024: Makers Foundation organised a children centric outreach programme at Keisham Birjit High School, Patsoi aimed at promoting basic scientific knowledge and its importance in rural areas among students.

The programme was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Notable dignitaries include Oinam Muhindro, Vigyan Mandir Officer, Education (S); Khumukcham Anil, Deputy Inspector of School Zone I, Imphal West and M Lilapati, Headmistress, Keisham Birjit High School.

Speaking on the occasion, Gay Thongamba, Chief Functionary, Makers Foundation stated that the Foundation is engaged in rehabilitation of victims of substance abuse.

He added that the outreach programme was conducted to spread scientific knowledge among students such as scientific inventions in the fields of income generating programmes like fisheries, plantations etc.
