Mass COVID-19 vaccination conducted

Thoubal, August 17 2021: In continuation of the COVID-19 preventive measures, Yairipok Municipal Council in association with District Health Society Thoubal, Kekru Yairi Club Yairipok and COVID-19 Task Force Yairipok Kekru under the supervision of District Administration Thoubal carried out a mass Covid vaccination drive at Kekru Laimang Community Hall in Yairipok Kekru Khul yesterday.

32-Wangkhem AC MLA, Keisham Meghachandra also visited the site and supervised the vaccination.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA enlightened the people on Covid vaccination and urged the people to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.

The MLA also appreciated the Covid Task force, ASHAs and Club volunteers for their service and efforts in successfully conducting the vaccination programme.

The drive was participated by Lilong PHC MO in charge, Dr Rajia; social worker Laishram Somorendro Singh, ASHAs and volunteers of Yairi Club.

A total of 80 persons were vaccinated during the drive.
