MSDO felicitates meritorious students

A felicitation cum award distribution of meritorious students was held at Sangaiyumpham Community Hall today organised by the Muslim Students Development Organisation (MSDO), Sangaiyumpham.
During the 14th edition of meritorious award distribution programme, students who have passed the High School Leaving Certificate Examinations and Higher Secondary Examinations conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Examination Manipur (COHSEM) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) were honoured and awarded.
Apart from the above, medical students who have passed Medical Council of India (MCI) examinations were also felicitated.
The event was graced by Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency MP Alfred Kangam S Arthur; Khangabok AC MLA Surjakumar Okram; Sangaiyumpham Zilla Parishad former Members Md Samsur Khan and Md.Hibjur Rahaman; Thoubal Zilla Parishad former Adhyaksha Md Ataur Rahaman; All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO) president Md Imtiyas Khan; MSDO president Md Wahid Khan, MSDO Central Committee chairman Md Zamir Khan, Social Welfare Association (SWA), Sangaiyumpham president Md Najuruddin and Social Worker Md Janab Khan as the presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest, Outer MP Alfred Kangam S Arthur said that young students who are the future pillars of the society should be nurtured and given proper guidance so that they went on to become eligible and responsible individuals in future.
The MP expressed that the young children should be taught the importance of a disciplined and humble lifestyle enabling them to contribute in striving for a progressive society, During the programme, local academician Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh; Deputy Director of Department of Minority Affairs Md Salauddin Khan; Associate Professor of Kha Manipur College Kakching Md Nejamuddin and Associate Professor of Pettigrew College Ukhrul Dr Md Inder Rahaman spoke as resource persons and gave valuable insights relating to education and personal development.
