Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya KCIE remembered on 51st Engineers' Day

He was speaking as chief guest at the 51 st Engineers' Day celebration held at the conference hall of IEI-Manipur State Centre, Government Polytechnic Campus, Takyel today.
The function was organised by the Institution of Engineers (India), Manipur State Centre on the theme "Digital Transformation: A New Industrial Revolution" to commemorate the 158th birthday of Bharat Ratna awardee Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
Er N Shyamsunder Singh, FIE, Former Chairman, JERC (Manipur & Mizoram), Er M Ibomcha Singh, Controller of Technical Education, Dr RK Hemakumr Singh, Principal, MIT, Takyel, Er Th Joykumar Singh, FIE, retd Chief Engineer (PWD) and Er Kh Temba Singh, FIE and Chairman, IEI-MSC also attended the function as presidium members.
Appreciating the undying efforts and works of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya in the field of engineering for the Country, Karam Shyam recalled that he was appointed a Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire (CIE) in 1911 and as a Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE) by the British for his myriad contributions to the public good in 1915 and later the Bharat Ratna in 1955 .
