Imphal, February 15 2016: In a step to curb the menace of drug abuse in the State, Coalition Against Drug Abuse (CADA) instituted a 50 bedded rehabilitation centre, at Taothong, Lamshang of Imphal West in February 14, 2014. Facing financial crunch for construction of the rehab-cen- tre, CADA has urged the public to extend their help. Addressing media persons today at Taothong, president of CADA Y Ratankumar stated that the administrative block of the rehab-centre is almost completed and there was plan to inaugurate the centre by March, 2016.But due to financial crunch CADA is asking the generous public of Manipur to lend their help and support, he added. With an estimate budget of about Rs 60 lakh the rehab- centre was constructed in an area of about 1.5 acres which will be one of the largest of its kind in the State, Ratankumar said. For the rehab-centre Homeshwor of Yumsha Chicken Centre has agreed to sponsor the kitchen, he added.
