Tamenglong ADC by-election peaceful

Tamenglong, January 15 2019:
71 percent voters cast their votes on Monday for the by election of 2-Chaton District Council Constituency under Autonomous District Council of Tamenglong.
46 percent turn out at 2/1 Chaton-1 polling station, 58 percent at 2/2 Chaton- 2 polling station, 87 percent at 2/3 Makuilongdi polling station, 94 percent at 2/4 Dunong polling station, 60 percent at 2/5 Illeng polling station are reported.
Polling was conducted on January 14 from 7 am to 3 pm and as per the information from the district administration the polling ended smoothly.
Counting of votes will be conducted on January 21 at DC Complex of Tamenglong Headquarters.
NPF candidate CPL Guangta and BJP candidate Kadijanbou contested for the by election of 2- Chaton District Council.
It may be mentioned that by election was conducted because NPF elected member Tutanbou expired on April 8, 2018 .
Altogether 40 polling officials staff were present for the smooth functioning of the ADC By-election.
