Imphal, December 14 2016: The proscribed RPF has categorically stated that no former member of the party and its armed wing PLA should contest any election held under the Constitution of India.

The ban is there since the past and it still remains, said a press release issued by the outfit's publicity secretary Roben Khuman.

Any retired RPF/PLA member who defies the ban should be held accountable for any untoward incident resulting thereof.

Those who intend to contest elections held under the Constitution of India after challenging the Indian Constitution for an independent Manipur do not have a principle of their own.

As such, people ought not to support or vote for such people, the outfit added.
