Sit-in protest staged at Toubul Bazar

Bishnupur, August 14 2021: JAC Against The Brutal Killing of Sundar Konsam on Saturday staged a sit-in protest at Torbul Bazar demanding the truth behind the death of Konsam Sunder Singh, who was found dead on August 12 .

Speaking on the occasion, JAC convenor, Th Bira stated that the manner in which Konsam Sunder Singh (36) was found dead was suspicious and urged the concerned authority to find the truth and award befitting punishment to all involved.

He also warned the State Government and Police Department of intensified agitation if the concerned authority failed to deliver justice to Konsam Sunder Singh by August 20 .

The protest was participated by Toubul Gram Panchayat Pradhan, Th Nanaobi Devi, former AMUCO president, Y Mani Khuman and Toubul Meira Paibi Lup chairman, N Moithap Devi.

Placards with the slogans, 'Book the culprit (s) at the earliest and punish them as per the law', 'Unearth the facts and circumstances leading to the death', 'Justice for K Sunder', etc were raised during the protest.

It may be mentioned that Late Konsam Sunder Singh, son of Konsam Indramani from Toubul Awang Leikai was found dead in a fish farm belonging to one Yumlembam Momon Singh on August 12 in a suspicious manner.
