Waste treatment plant at Bishnupur to be inaugurated soon

Member of Parliament Dr RK Ranjan today said that the waste treatment plant at Bishnupur will be inaugurated soon.
He was speaking at a week long garbage free campaign at Bishnupur.
He further said that everyday four metric tons of garbage are produced from Bishnupur.
Once the treatment plant is inaugurated, the biodegradable waste will be converted into manure and will be made available to the farmers.
The MP said, the treatment plant at Jiribam has already been started and the manure produced from there is sold to farmers.
He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants India to be a garbage free country and with this thinking the week long garbage free campaign was started on August 8 and will continue till tomorrow.
During the campaign, public utilities and markets are to be kept neat and clean.
"If we keep our surroundings and ourselves clean we can easily defeat COVID-19," he added.
