MSF lambasts COHSEM employees' clarification

Imphal, May 12 2017: Days after the COHSEM employees clarified that there were no irregularities to the appointment of 38 employees and regularization of 27 among the 38 in the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), Manipur Students' Federation (MSF) today lambast the clarification stating that anomalies were detected to the appointment of the said employees.

Speaking to media persons spokesperson of MSF said that there were no advertisements or notification at the time engaging the 38 employees in 2014.He further said that on 22nd April, 2016, 27 of the 38 employees filed petition to the court for regularization of their post.

On April 27, 2016 the court asked the COHSEM to consider the matter and reply to the court at which the then chairman of the COHSEM in his reply to the court said that is no room for regularization of the said employees.

The spokespersons said that the COHSEM employees are trying to mislead the people.

On the other hand, the MSF further pointed out various irregularities to the functioning of the COHSEM saying that there were reports of approving affiliation of 2 schools in the same campus.

Besides, there were reports of charging extra tips in application for duplicate certificates.
