Imphal, September 11 2015 :
The recent peace accord signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) was just a framework, Centre's interlocutor for Naga peace talks, RN Ravi said on Friday.
In an exclusive interview with private cable news channel Impact TV, RN Ravi said it was not an accord, but just a framework.
He stated that the accord will not touch territorial integrity of any neighbouring States.
Interest of all stakeholders will be taken into account in the final accord, Ravi told the news channel.
He said that the Naga integration is positioned by different stakeholders, not the position of Government of India.
"There is no secrecy about the talk.
People have the right to know, but we cannot put in public domain the outcome of every discussion," he clarified.
He said the agreement is "work-in-progress." The Naga peace talks interlocutor also stated that Modi Government's aim is to undo the divide and rule policy of the British empire.
Feedback from civil society leaders is encouraging, he added.
Ravi said there is no particular timeframe as views and interests of different stakeholders need to be taken.
Chief Minister O Ibobi and representatives of United Committee Manipur (UCM), All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) and Committee of Civil Societies met RN Ravi on Thursday.
Ravi arrived here on Thursday in a two-day visit to the State.
He left Imphal on Friday morning.
