Kangpokpi, April 11 2017: To ensure development of digital economy in the district and to spread awareness on cashless transaction among the people, district administration Kangpokpi will organize Digi-Dhan Mela at Kangpokpi DHQs.

According to Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi T Ranjit Singh (IAS), the Digi-Dhan Mela (Go Cashless, Go Digital) will be organized in collaboration with Department of Information Technology, Government of India at community hall near Brig.

He also stated that it is a continuation of a seminar held on April 4 on Digi-Dhan with all DLOs, Bank Managers and other stakeholders.

He requested all Banks Managers operating within Kangpokpi district and other concerned DLOs to put up at least one stall each for the Digi-Dhan Mela and informed the Bank Mangers to include Aadhaar seeding of the participants/customers of the Banks during the Mela on the spot.
