Family members of injured IRB personnel seek justice

Imphal, December 10 2021: Family members of the IRB personnel Yumnam Sanjit, who is currently being treated for head injury at Raj Medicity, has appealed the Government to find out the truth on how he got the injury.

Puyam Surchandra, neighbour of Y Sanjit, said Y Sanjit had been poste as escort of Saikul AC MLA Yamthong Haokip and the family was informed through a call that he was injured at the head due to a fall inside the bathroom on December 5 .

Nobody from the 4th IRB or from the MLA's side has come to enquire the condition of Y Sanjit who is yet to regain consciousness.

This has raise suspicion whether he was a victim of physical assault by his colleagues, he told the media at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today.

Regarding the incident, Yumnam Bebe Devi, wife of Y Sanjit has written a letter to the Chief Minister seeking immediate intervention to find out the truth as the Saikul Police Station has also refuse to file a complaint against the incident.
