Kakching, February 10 2020: The 14th anniversary of Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi, an education campaign of Manipur Student's Federation (MSF) was observed today at.

Slopeland Public School, Khongjom.

The observance was graced by Council of Higher Education Manipur (COHSEM) Secretary, Ch Biren Singh as chief guest; Slopeland Public School founder Principal, N Babulin Meitei as guest of honour and MSF president, Sazad Bhuiyamayum as functional president.

Speaking on the occasion, Sazad Bhuiyamayum said that the academic campaign is organised every year to bring about a positive change in the education system of the State.

Saying that students should not study only just to get a Government job, he urged all students to give undivided attention to their studies to become a responsible citizen and contribute to Nation-building in future.

Introducing a productive education system in the State is the need of the hour so that people could develop knowledge, values and behaviours needed for sustainable development, he said and appealed all to extend support to the academic campaign and other activities of the federation.

As part of the event, a souvenir was also released.

N Babulin Meitei presented a gift each to the dignitaries present.

"Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi is a calendar programme of MSF introduced in 2006 .
