Family member expresses dissatisfaction

The mother of late Ashem Amo, who was a rifleman of 6th IRB (attached to 7th MR refresher course) of Keishamthong Hodam Leirak, has expressed disappointmentat the failure of the authorities concerned for failing to deliver justice for her deceased son.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today evening, Ashem Gomati said that her son, Ashem Amo was going from Khabeisoi to Lamlong side on a two wheeler (on full uniform) when he skid and fell of his vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a dog near Khurai Konsam Leikai.
As he was lying on the roadside after getting into the accident, some individuals from the locality tried to help him.
But at that instant, an Alto car came speeding and slammed Amo and sped away.
The people tried to catch the car but to no avail, she claimed adding that Amo was rushed to Raj Medicity but he succumbed to his injuries.
Due to the suspicious nature of the freak accident, the family members filed a complaint to Imphal East police, she informed adding that on that day, three individuals who were supposedly driving the car, were caught by police and produced before CJM Imphal East.
However, one of them was given bail while one S Ramananda, who was the driver and another was remanded further, she added.
The bereaved mother continued that S Ramananda and Amo were good friends and expressed suspicion of other ulterior motives behind the accident.
She then appealed to the police to properly investigate the case and deliver justice for her deceased son at the earliest.
