Imphal, June 09 2020: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has condoled the demise of M Modhumangol at his residence on June 5 .

In a statement, N Biren said that the State and media fraternity has lost a good journalist and a renowned person.

He also shared the sorrows of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.

It may be noted that M Modhumangol was a founding member of All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) and Manipur Press Club.

He also served as vice-president and general secretary of AMWJU.

M Modhumangol was a senior journalist and former editor of "Pathou", a local daily and apart from being a journalist, he was a political and social activist, Biren said in his condolence message.
