Imphal, October 07 2015: Different pressing issues besieging the State will be discussed at the general conference of Manipuri Association of North East India (MANEI) to be held at Imphal in December this year.

Speaking to reporters, MANEI secretary general Sinam Prakash said that the association, which came into being in 2013, has its unit committees at all the eight North East States with its headquarters located at Guwahati.

He said that the main objective of the association is to maintain a co-ordination and strong relation among the Manipuris residing at different parts of the North East region.

Informing that the general conference would be held on December 19 and 20, Prakash said that apart from discussing the issues besieging the State, efforts would be put in to bring emotional integration among the Manipuris.

Saying that around 300 delegates would take part in the conference, Prakash further said that delegates from Bangladesh, Myanmar and Bangalore would also attend the conference as special guests.
