Samata Party to field 30 candidates in upcoming election

Imphal, January 07 2022: Chief Secretary General of Samata Party (SAP), N.A.Khaon has stated that the Party is planning to field around 30 candidates in the upcoming 12th Manipur State Legislative Assembly election.

He made the above statement while speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club today in connection with the current political scenario in Manipur.

Voicing against the draconian AFSPA Act, he said that many innocent lives have been lost under the shadow of this Act, hence it should be repealed at the earliest.

He also maintained that the exorbitant price hike of essential commodities under the aegis of the incumbent BJP Government has added more woes to the problem of common people and have made their lives deplorable considerably.

The press meet was also attended by president of Samata Party, Manipur State Committee, Haji Asraf Ali, chairman, Thokchom Surjaboro, convenor Chabungbam Premchandra Singh and co-convenor of United Front Manipur, Sapam Opendro.
